Yueyang (Shaoxing) Medical Supplies Co., Ltd., located in Gaobu Town, Yuecheng District, is preparing to invest 180 million yuan to enter the competitive medical textile market, aiming to break the current dominance of Shandy Medical Dressings Co., Ltd. in the industry. According to reports, the company is currently in the early stages of plant construction and expects to complete the facility and start production by the end of next year.
The demand for new medical protective materials in foreign markets remains strong. For instance, the European market alone has an annual demand of approximately $1 billion. With rising labor costs in Europe and improved management standards in Chinese medical enterprises, international purchasing centers are gradually shifting toward China. Additionally, the medical textiles sector is undergoing a transformation, moving away from traditional cotton-based products toward disposable nonwoven materials.
Lu Jianguo, director of "Ocean Medical Care," conducted extensive market research and believes that with relatively few domestic competitors, this project holds great potential. As a result, the company plans to raise 180 million yuan to introduce advanced production lines for surgical nonwoven products.
According to Gao Gaoxing, the vice mayor in charge of industry affairs in Gaopu, the project will cover 80 acres of land, with a factory area of 80,000 square meters. The construction is currently in the final preparation phase, and the project is expected to begin this year. Once completed, the plant will be operational by the end of next year. It is estimated that the facility will produce 10 million surgical gowns and 15 million surgical drapes annually, generating sales of around 220 million yuan per year.
